Today we're going to learn new vocabulary and idioms to describe your emotions in English: Happiness, Anger, Worry, and Tiredness

Okay, so let's learn some new words to express HAPPINESS.

• delighted

• in a good mood

• pleased

Here are some stronger words if you're really happy.

• ecstatic

• elated

• thrilled

• overjoyed

Here are a couple idioms used to express happiness.

• on cloud nine

He got engaged and he has been on cloud nine all day.

Okay, let's learn some new words for ANGER.

• in a bad mood

• annoyed

• frustrated

and if you want to express a stronger sense of anger you could say...

• furious

• livid

Here are a couple idioms to express anger.

• lose one's temper

He lost his temper when he saw the damage to his car.

• to make someone's blood boil

When she said that my blood boiled.

Here are some new words for WORRY.

• concerned

• uneasy

and if you're feeling a lot of worry you could say...

• anxious

• distressed

butterflies in one's stomach

Before the exam, I had butterflies in my stomach.

• to break out in a cold sweat

He broke out in a cold sweat when he saw her.

Let's talk about the last one: TIREDNESS.

You can say

• worn out

• wiped out

or if you're really really tired you can say

• drained

• fatigued

• exhausted

• I can hardly keep my eyes open. I'm beat.
